The Country Dog Review is a journal of poetry, book reviews, and interviews. We publish three issues a year, and hope to print an annual anthology by year's end. There is also an annual poetry contest in the works. Please check back for details in the fall.

Danielle Sellers, editor, is originally from Key West, FL. She has an MA from The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University and an MFA from the University of Mississippi where she held the Grisham Poetry Fellowship. Her poems have appeared in River Styx, Cimarron Review, Poet Lore, Subtropics, Poetry Southeast, and elswhere. She's been the recipient of The Phyllis Smart Young Prize at the Madison Review, and has placed in contests by Smartish Pace and River Styx. She's been a finalist for the "Discovery"/The Nation prize and was recently nominated for the 2008 Best New Poets Anthology. Her first collection of poetry, Bone Key Elegies, was released from Main Street Rag in late 2009. She lives in Oxford, Missisippi with her daughter and teaches the essay and poetry at Ole Miss.
